Boylan’s Counseling Department provides service and information to all students in the following areas:

• Academic advising
• Social-emotional counseling
• Career exploration activities and career counseling
• College advising - major/career selection, college search, application process
• Post-secondary financial aid options and scholarships
• Testing: PSAT, SAT, & AP Exams
• Naviance: a college and career readiness tool that helps schools align student strengths and interests to postsecondary goals, improving student outcomes and connecting learning to life.

The school counselors schedule an appointment at least once yearly with each student. In addition to the annual academic appointment, students are always welcome and encouraged to make an appointment with their school counselor, academic advisor, wellness counselor, and/or college counselor. Parents and staff are also encouraged to refer students to anyone in the counseling department.  To schedule an appointment, students can request in person, or via email. Parents are welcome to email or call to speak with a counseling department member.
