Boylan Catholic High School will host the 55th Annual Thanksgiving Invitational Boys Basketball Tournament from November 25–30, excluding Thanksgiving Day on November 28. The tournament will feature Varsity, JV, and Freshman teams, showcasing top-tier basketball talent from across northern and central Illinois.

On November 13th we celebrated four outstanding Boylan athletes as they signed to continue their athletic and academic journeys at the collegiate level!

Virgil Abloh, a visionary in art, fashion, and design is celebrated globally, but his roots remain firmly grounded at Boylan Catholic High School in northwest Rockford, Illinois, 90 miles outside of Chicago. Abloh graduated from the school in 1998, and it’s the location of an art exhibit featuring designs by students who are inspired walking the same hallways as Abloh did 25 years ago.

Boylan Catholic High School proudly welcomed 11 new members into the National Honor Society (NHS) during its Fall induction ceremony on Tuesday, October 21, 2024. These distinguished members of the Class of 2025 were selected based on their exceptional achievements in scholarship, service, leadership, and character, as evaluated by the school’s faculty.

We are proud to announce that seniors Stephanie Lewandowski and Helena Solana have been recognized as Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. This prestigious honor places them among the top students in the nation for their academic achievements.

Boylan Catholic High School will honor individuals who embody the spirit and mission of the school at the Alumni Recognition Awards taking place this Thursday, September 26th at 5:30 p.m. in the Boylan Bachrodt Center.

On September 7th, Boylan Catholic High School hosted its 6th Annual Farm to‬ Table dinner, honoring its Bishop Lane Donors, those who generously give $1,000 or more‬ annually. This year’s Harvest-themed event brought the Boylan community together for a‬ special evening of gratitude and fellowship.‬

Boylan Catholic High School and Marian‬‭ Central Catholic High School came together‬ ‭on August 23rd to make history with their inaugural preseason football scrimmage, a new tradition‬ ‭ushered in by recent changes from the IHSA. As sister schools within the Rockford Diocese, this event‬ ‭was more than just a game; it was a celebration of faith, community, and shared values.‬

As we embark on a new school year at Boylan Catholic High School, we are thrilled to introduce two new members of our leadership team who will play pivotal roles in our community's growth and success. We welcome Fr. Bobby Blood '11 as our newly named Assistant Principal and Spiritual Director, and Mr. Bryant Salamone ‘03 as our new Dean of Students.

On May 17, 2024, in front of friends, family, teachers, and clergy members, the Class of 2024 became Boylan Catholic's newest alumni!

On Friday, April 19, Boylan Catholic High School sent its freshman and sophomore classes, 274 students in total, out into the Rockford community to do a day of service in cooperation with the United Way of Rock River Valley (UWRRV).
