ROCKFORD, Ill. — Boylan Catholic High School Announces Retirement of Director of Advancement Lynn Cuppini McConville after Nearly 40 Years
Boylan Catholic High School announces the retirement of Advancement Director Lynn Cuppini McConville ’68 after 37 years of service to the school.
McConville began her career at Boylan in 1981 as a theology teacher. In 1984 she transitioned away from the classroom and established the Boylan Alumni Association, with the goal of connecting and fostering relationships among the nearly 19,000 alumni of Boylan and its heritage schools, Muldoon and St. Thomas. McConville was instrumental in leading and evolving the Alumni Association into what is now Boylan’s Advancement Office, which focuses on engaging donors in support of Boylan’s mission through philanthropy and volunteerism.
Prior to joining Boylan, McConville taught at St. Bernadette school from 1973-1981, bringing her total years of service to the Diocese of Rockford to 45.
“Boylan Catholic High School is incredibly grateful to Lynn for the nearly four decades of service she provided to our students, faculty, and alumni,” said Boylan President Amy Ott. “Her pioneering spirit and desire to cultivate meaningful relationships across the Boylan community has created a sustainable model that will ensure Boylan students have access to an exemplary, Christ-centered education for years to come.”
McConville’s tenure at Boylan ended on Dec. 31, 2018. Well-wishers are invited to share memories and notes of congratulations for her on Boylan’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/BoylanCatholic.
