Mrs. Schmitt grew up on a farm in Chenoa, IL and attended Lexington High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2012. During her time at UIUC, Allison interned for two summers at the University of Texas, Austin working on the Austin Marriage Project studying newlywed couples. After graduation, she volunteered at PATH Crisis 211, an information/referral and suicide hotline. She also volunteered and then later worked as a residential counselor at Chestnut Health Systems in Bloomington, IL, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for adolescent males. While working there, Allison attended and graduated from the University of Illinois, Springfield with her Master of Arts in School Counseling in 2016. Allison has been at Boylan since the Fall of 2016.
