Congratulations to Sergio Ortiz '24, the second annual recipient of the Jerry and Betty Weightman Memorial Scholarship.
This scholarship was instituted last year by the ten children of the namesake couple who all went through Boylan as students in the 1970's-80's. The $2,500 scholarship was conferred upon Sergio by Phil Weightman '86 and will go toward paying for Sergio's first semester studying Mechanical Engineering at either Rock Valley or NIU. In the coming years, this scholarship will continue to support graduating seniors to help them in their first semester of college.
