We are proud to announce that seniors Stephanie Lewandowski and Helena Solana have been recognized as Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. This prestigious honor places them among the top students in the nation for their academic achievements.

A Letter of Commendation from both Boylan Catholic High School and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) will be presented to Stephanie and Helena during the October 3 Awards Assembly.

While Commended Students will not continue in the 2025 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, they placed among the top 50,000 students out of the 1.5 million who entered by taking the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).

“Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented a spokesperson for NMSC. “These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope this recognition will broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success.”

Boylan Catholic High School celebrates the hard work and dedication of these exceptional students and looks forward to honoring their achievements at the upcoming assembly.
